Suspended between dream and theater, this enigmatic tableau unfolds against a lacquered emerald field, where horizontal brushstrokes conjure a breathless nocturnal wind. Elongated figures, marionette and magistrate, engage in a ritual of exchange, their brittle limbs and balled heads rendered with pinprick precision. The palette relies on deep greens, bone whites and Venetian reds to choreograph tension and sarcastic intimacy, while the slender verticals create improbable depth. The technique marries meticulous glazing with playful linearism, recalling surrealist absurdity and a carnival of expressionist exaggeration. The result is darkly comic, unnervingly elegant, an allegory that invites both amusement and quiet disquiet.
