Oil on canvas

A whimsically poignant piece emerges from the canvas, where a well-loved teddy bear sits against a backdrop reminiscent of an abstract urban landscape. The artist embraces a rich, earthy palette, using warm browns and soft yellows that evoke the golden hues of nostalgia. Yet, there's a twist—the bear's expressive eyes betray a deeper story, as a bold tear in its fabric invites viewers into realms of memory and sentiment. The composition balances realism with a hint of surrealism, creating a visual tension that is both enchanting and slightly melancholic. Each brushstroke is a dance of texture and light, whispering secrets of childhood adventures and lost innocence.

About the author
Anna comes from the small town of Skarżysko-Kamienna, Poland. She was born on August 10, 1985. Art has always been present in the artist's life. Her first solo exhibition, "Sin," took place during her final year of high school in 2002. She went to Krakow to study applied graphic design, which she interrupted, and then resocialization pedagogy. Her next step was an experimental trip to Germany, where after a year she opened her own tattoo studio and atelier, which operates to this day. For many years, tattooing was her main occupation, but it wasn't a sufficient outlet for expressing all her emotions. For a long time, she struggled to find her path in life and searched for herself until she rediscovered oil paints. "Painting is the only path I can follow; it gives me peace, it's my most important love and therapy. No one truly knows how many thoughts and feelings are hidden in these paintings..." She is inspired by the Baroque period, fairy tales, and nature, creating new characters or giving animals human characteristics. 2024. Began collaboration with the Desa Unicum auction house. 2024. Began collaboration with the Art in House gallery and auction house. 2025. Participated in an international competition and exhibition at the London Art Bienale.
