Artur Płachta , 2026

40×60 cm

Oil on canvas

In this whimsical tableau, we find ourselves delightfully transported to a fantastical universe teeming with playful absurdity. The composition dances between reality and dream, an ode to the spirited imagination. Two eccentric characters, poised in conversation, command our attention as they revel atop their colorful contraptions—one a vibrant rocket, the other an adventurous balloon, echoing vintage futurism. The palette, rich in ochres and blues, weaves harmony with the surreal skies flecked with floating airships, invoking a sense of boundless wonder.

The brushwork is delightfully textured, infusing the scene with a tactile vibrancy. There are unmistakable nods to the whimsical stylings of Chagall, yet with a flair distinctly its own. Emotionally, it’s a celebration of curiosity and exploration, encouraging us to embrace the joy and folly of the unknown.
